Bank of Baroda organised the Cyber Crime Awareness Program 2026 at Ravindra Bharathi Auditorium, Hyderabad, on 12th June 2026. The programme brought together senior officials from the banking sector, the Reserve Bank of India, and law enforcement agencies to deliberate on strategies for preventing cybercrimes and reinforcing the ecosystem of institutional response in Telangana. The event was graced by Smt. Beena Vaheed, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda; Shri V C Sajjanar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City; Shri V Aravind Babu, DCP (Cyber Crimes), Hyderabad City; Shri Chinmoy Kumar, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Telangana; and Shri M V S Sudhakar, General Manager & Zonal Head, Hyderabad Zone, Bank of Baroda. The programme also witnessed active participation from officials of various banks, reinforcing the collective commitment of the banking fraternity towards enhancing cybercrime awareness, preparedness, and coordinated response mechanisms. The event featured insightful discussions on cyber fraud prevention, rapid response mechanisms, the importance of the golden hour in fraud recovery, and the need for seamless coordination between banks and law enforcement agencies. Participants also deliberated on strengthening branch-level processes and empowering frontline staff to effectively address cybercrime incidents.
