Bharat Connect : About Bharat Connect

Bharat Connect, formerly known as Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS), is an integrated bill payment system in the country offers interoperable and accessible bill payment services to customers through a network of agents, enabling multiple payment modes and provides instant confirmation of receipt of payment.

It is an RBI conceptualized ecosystem driven by NBBL (NPCI Bharat Bill Payment Ltd), a wholly owned subsidiary of NPCI. NBBL functions as an authorized Bharat Bill Payment Central Unit (BBPCU). Authorised Banks/ Non-Banks are the Operating Units (OUs) under Bharat connect.

BBPS covers all categories of payments:

Electricity, Gas (LPG & Piped Gas), Water, DTH, Cable, Telecom (Landline, Broadband, Postpaid), Mobile Pre-paid, Municipal Taxes, FASTag recharge, NCMC recharge, Loan repayment, Credit card, Insurance, Recurring Deposit, Education Fees, Subscriptions, Hospital & Pathology, Donations, Clubs & Associations, NPS, Rent etc.

Our Bank in BBPS:

Our Bank has been certified as both Customer Operating Unit (COU) and Biller Operating Unit (BOU) by NPCI. Bank has on-boarded Billers on BBPS systems under various categories such as Electricity, Telecom Post-paid, Insurance, FASTag, Credit Card, Loan repayment and Municipal Taxes and Services.

Customer Operating Unit (COU):

Bank/Non-Bank facilitates bill payments through various channels/mode of payments to customer/non-customers.

Biller Operating Unit (COU):

Bank/Non-Bank facilitates billers in collection of their bill payments made through various COU channels.

Bharat Connect : Bharat Connect supported channels

Bank of Baroda provides bill payment services to both Bank of Baroda and other bank customers through:
  • bob-World (Mobile Banking)
  • bob World Internet (Internet Banking)
  • Bank Mitra Kendra (Business Correspondent Point) through Financial Inclusion Gateway.
  • BHIM UPI (UPI app of NPCI).

For own customers and other bank customers through:

  • bob ई pay (BOB UPI application)

Service providers (billers) from Bharat Connect approved categories who collect repetitive payments from customers can avail Bharat Connect service through Bank of Baroda.

Bharat Connect : Complaint Redressal

Any complaint regarding product/service or Bharat Connect bill payment transaction status or receipt can be lodged through following modes:

  • BOB CRM portal (https://bobcrm.bankofbaroda.co.in/onlinecomplaint).
  • Complaint portal of respective channel (only for those successful transactions where customer didn’t receive services/bill not updated by using transaction reference ID starting with “BB01”).

Note: The Bank may use the services of agents in sales/marketing etc. of its various products. The agents may call the customers to increase the Digital awareness and Digital adoption.
