Bank of Baroda, in collaboration with the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), conducted a two-day Capacity Building Programme on “Low-Carbon Building Transition” under the Asia Low Carbon Buildings Transition (ALCBT) project on 3rd and 4th November 2025 at its Corporate Centre, Mumbai. This initiative marks a pioneering partnership - the first of its kind between GGGI, ASCI, and a Public Sector Bank - aimed at advancing sustainable and low-carbon practices within the buildings sector. The event was graced by Ms. Beena Vaheed, Executive Director; Shri Ravindra Singh Negi, Chief Risk Officer; Shri Ramanuj Sharma, Deputy CRO; and Ms. Neha Jhawar, AGM, Risk Management, who emphasized the Bank’s unwavering focus on embedding sustainability and climate action into its core strategies. Shri Ashok Kumar Thanikonda, Senior Programme Officer, GGGI, participated in the inaugural session of the programme. The workshop witnessed participation from over 40 officials, with 50% women representation, reaffirming the Bank’s commitment to inclusivity and gender balance. Through expert-led sessions by ASCI faculty members Shri Raj Kumar Luthra, Prof. Pavan Kumar Parnandi, and Ms. Vishakha Bhandare, participants gained actionable insights into green finance, sustainable building technologies, and ESG integration in banking and infrastructure planning. Bank of Baroda organised the 8th Edition of “Baroda Kisan Pakhwada” in Chikkaballapur, Karnataka, reinforcing the Bank’s commitment to empowering India’s farmers through innovative, tech-enabled, and accessible banking solutions. The event at Chikkaballapur was graced by Shri Ravindra P. N., IAS, Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate, Chikkaballapur District; Dr. A. B. Patil, Officer on Special Duty to the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of Karnataka; Ms. Beena Vaheed, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda; Shri Anil Srivastava, General Manager, Bank of Baroda; Shri Sumit Mishra, Deputy General Manager - Business Development; and Shri Ravi Pathak, Regional Head - Bengaluru Rural Region. The programme featured a Mega Kisan Mela, Kisan Meets, Credit Camps, and Financial Literacy sessions for farmers across the Bengaluru Rural Branches. Over 1,800 farmers participated in Chikkaballapur alone, with sanction letters distributed to a large number of beneficiaries and agricultural loans aggregating to ₹51 crore sanctioned to 193 farmers. Bank of Baroda organised an MSME Customer Outreach Program in Jaipur on 3rd November 2025. The event was graced by Shri Lal Singh, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda; and Shri M.
